Hello Yellow

Yes, those are the new Nuggets alternate uniforms for 2012-13.  Well, kind of new, since that is the logo from the 80s, but that color is from Big Bird.

Consensus is pretty cool; a nod to the great Nugs teams of the era with a new color twist.  Even if that twist is from a mustard bottle.

They'll wear them for 18 games this year, and as Current Slushy Gutter Winner T-Dub points out, they might have to share them with Marquette.

So, as this blog likes to call the home team the Powder Blue Patrol, we may have to come up with a new moniker for our Mellow Yellows.  The Old Gold Guard?  Dehydrated Piss Patrol?  Yellow Cabbies?

One thing is for sure, they'll wear them for the Knicks visit in March; that yellow belly turncoat Carmelo will love his old team's new color.
